Gabby Olsen
Gabby has traveled all over the west and internationally for rock climbing. Her sophomore year of college she became president of the Uscend climbing club at the University of Utah, which has now grown to over three hundred members. She also organized and implemented a very successful Kid’s climbing program at one of top climbing gyms in the U.S. Gabby is extremely adept at instructing children in climbing and rappelling and has a way of making even the most heights-worried participant feel safe and confident.
Dion Obermeyer
Dion has been rock climbing for 10+ years & guiding for over 6 years. From big wall climbing to climbing on the beach in Mallorca, Spain, Dion loves it all. He wants to show people of all abilities & ages that they can enjoy canyoneering & climbing.

Alyson Golub
Aly Golub first visited Southern Utah in 2016. Since then, she has traveled around the U.S. climbing in Kentucky, Colorado, West Virginia, Texas, Alaska, Tennessee, Arkansas, Nevada and Illinois before realizing she is a true desert rat and needed to return to Zion. She has worked as a guide in Southeastern Alaska and coached the youth climbing team in St. Louis. Aly is psyched to keep instructing climbing and canyoneering and to share her passion for the outdoors with her guests.



Marley Nelson
Marley Nelson has live in Utah is whole life & has been rock climbing for the past 10 years. Rock climbing is a deep passion of his & he loves sharing the experience of canyoneering & climbing with others. If he is not guiding, he is out developing new canyons, rock climbs, or taking his dog on dog adventures! If he is not outside, he is reading a sci-fi book, watching anime, or working on a new art project. He looks forward to everyday outside & is happy to take y'all out on a great adventure!
Madeleine Docherty
Madeleine Docherty was born, raised, and attended university in St. Louis, Missouri. She started rock climbing at the end of high school, and through her time at university took every spare moment to climb all over North America. She founded and coordinated the climbing team at her university, and worked as an instructor for children at a local indoor climbing facility. Through her 10+ years of climbing experience Madeleine has instructed people of all different ages and backgrounds in the sport, and has learned how to tailor her guidance to each individual so they feel safe and fearless
Joe French
Joe has lived and climbed in the Zion area since 1996 and guided professionally since 2004. He is a member of the Access Fund and the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) and has received his Single Pitch and Rock Instructor certifications. Joe loves Zion, has put up multiple routes in the area and to many in the know is considered quite legendary in his sport. He is technically meticulous and takes satisfaction in a perfectly dressed knot. He enjoys sharing his love for and knowledge of all aspects of the sport to his guests.


Zach Lee
Veteran Zion climber and Southern Utah guide, Zach Lee established Zion Guide Service Rock Odysseys in 2013 after the birth of his first baby Jette. He is a Utah native and a climbing enthusiast. His climbing career has been spent putting up routes and first free ascents on some of Zion’s most unclimbable walls. Zach has worked as a Zion National Park guide for over a decade and half, and he loves showing, or maybe just reminding, people what a joy it is to climb and explore the natural world around them.
Amanda Harley
Amanda Harley was born and raised in New Mexico. After graduating high school, she found rock climbing and fell in love with the sport as well as its community. She was touched by how friendly and supportive fellow climbers were; she met friends who took her climbing all over the state, around the West, and even in the Alaska Range. She is an AMGA certified Single Pitch Instructor and loves sharing the sense of strength and accomplishment that climbing brings her.
